Each Friday we will be going outside in the afternoons with Mrs. Dyer's class to explore nature.
Today, we held our first Forest Friday workshop. The children rotated through 4 stations. The first station had them working in the garden beds, right outside Mrs. Dyer's classroom. The second station had them playing a tag game in our outside classroom area. At the third station, the children observed and drew two apple trees that are planted in our school garden. The last station, the children took a little tour around the school to get a sense of where things are in our school community. Have them share something they noticed while outside and what their favorite station was with you.
Here are a few pictures from the apple station.
