Fly Away Butterfly

 When we came into the classroom this morning, we immediately noticed that one butterfly had emerged from it's chrysalis.  The children were so thrilled to see it.  The children drew a scientific drawing of the butterfly in their science notebooks as well.  At the end of the day we released the butterfly outside and we watched it fly into the tree.  We are hoping it makes its way to Mexico as the weather changes.  

Currently in our tank, we have one chrysalis and Mrs. Boutin brought us two other monarch caterpillars this morning.  We are excited to continue watching the changes.
