Gingerbread Cookies

Last week we had read many versions of the fairy tale The Gingerbread Man. This morning, we made gingerbread cookies, but when we went to go get them out of the oven, they were gone just like in the stories! The gingerbread men left us clues throughout the whole school telling us where to go, which was a great way to take a tour of the school. The children kept finding crumbs all over the floors and eventually we found our cookies in the classroom. We made sure we kept our eyes on them until we ate them for afternoon snack. They weren't going to run again from us! Ask your child what was their favorite place to chase the gingerbread men to.

The children had a blast with this activity and really enjoyed eating their cookies! Tomorrow or Wednesday we will do an art project as a follow up to today's gingerbread hunt.
