Traveling Seeds

On Wednesday, we had our 2nd Four Winds workshop, which focused on seeds traveling.  The children learned about ways seeds travel: as hitch hikers on animals, floating in water, or by flying in the air.  The children participated in some fun activities including finding seeds outside, collecting them and then observing them.  They also investigated some beans, by pulling off the shell and looking on the inside.  Ask your child to share one thing they learned about seeds.

 

This was our sign in this morning, which was related to the Four Winds lesson.  Have your child tell you how they would want to travel if they were a seed and why.
