On Tuesday, the children enjoyed collaborating in a small group to figure out how they could get their 5 spiders across the river. They were given 4 plastic cups, a piece of tape, and some yarn. They had to work together to create a bridge for their spiders. Here are
pictures from our STEM challenge.

Last week we investigated if a pumpkin floats or sinks. The children made their predictions on the morning message. Then, we carried out the experiment. The pumpkin floated! The children were intrigued. So, we tried some other items, including an apple and a marble. We had a discussion why some items sink and why some items float. The children then recorded their observations in their science notebooks.
Ms. S visited today and she talked with the children about talking bubbles and thought bubbles. Thought bubbles show what you. someone else or a group is thinking about. Talking bubbles show when you or someone else is speaking.
These are our new letters this week.
