Visiting the Apple Orchard
We had a fantastic time visiting the apple orchard this morning. We couldn't have picked a better fall day to learn about apples and bees. We enjoyed some freshly made apple cider thanks to our tour guide and two parent volunteers (take a look at these videos from making the cider). We learned the importance that bees have in the orchard and then we got to look at the bees in the classroom. When in the orchard, the children had fun picking drops (apples on the ground) and apples from the tree to bring back to the classroom and to eat in the orchard.
Pictures from today's adventures!
