Land of Pumpkins

Yesterday, we visited Land of Pumpkins at the Whitcomb farm. The children enjoyed the corn maze, which was in the shape of a pumpkin. Despite the maze being very muddy, it didn't stop the children from finding the token that was needed to get a piece of candy! While listening to Mary and enjoying our candy, we learned so much about pumpkins. There are many different size seeds, which produce different size pumpkins. The seeds are dipped in a special mixture to prevent bugs from eating them while in the ground. We even got to measure a pumpkin and found out that it weighed around 300 lbs! After, each child got to pick a pumpkin to bring home. Enjoy!
