We have been reading many versions of the fairy tale The Gingerbread Man. Ask your child what has been his or her favorite book. This morning, we made gingerbread cookies, but when we went to go get them in the oven, they were gone just like in the stories! The gingerbread men left us clues throughout the whole school telling us where to go. The children kept finding crumbs all over the floors and eventually we found our cookies in the classroom. We thought it would be best if we ate the cookies for morning snack so that they wouldn't run away again! Ask your child what was their favorite place to chase the gingerbread men to.
We also graphed what body part we ate first and dis some analyzing of the data we collected. The children had such a great time with this activity. They were very excited to find their cookies.
The children had a blast with this activity and really enjoyed eating their cookies!
