First Day of Kindergarten!

We had a wonderful first day of school! The children did an amazing job listening through all the rules and routines of our classroom, the cafeteria, the playground, and on the bus. Ask your child what they learned today in school. Also, ask them what our 3 school rules (Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible) are.



We read some books today that talked about getting ready for kindergarten (Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten and The Night Before Kindergarten). After, we drew what we did to get ready for kindergarten.

We also had some free explore time in the classroom and on the playground and did guided discovery (learning about the expectations of using materials and places)on markers, using the bathroom, and washing our hands. Here is the fun song we learned to help us remember to listen for the CLICK when putting the cap onto the marker.
