Bookmobile and 5th Graders

We had a very busy day today! This morning, we had 4 5th grade girls from WCS come into our classroom to share with us books they had written, which all the children noticed they were non-fiction books. Ask your child what their favorite story was.

Then, in the afternoon the children got to go see the bookmobile from the local library, which was parked next to our school library. The children got to go inside to see what it looks like and hear the horn that the person who is driving uses to signal that the bookmobile is in the neighborhood. The children also found out a wonderful summer reading program that the library does. For every 30 minutes your child reads or is read to, they receive a sticker on a form, which is kept at the library. When a row is filled up with stickers, your child gets to pick out a book from a treasure box at the library. Please visit the town library to find out more about this terrific program.
