White Tailed Deer
On Friday, the children had a wonderful Four Winds workshop hosted by our parent volunteers. This month's focus was on white tailed deer. The children measured 2.5 lbs of twigs (how much a deer eats in a day) and they got to feel a real piece of deer fur, antler, skull and hoof. The children also watched a slideshow and had a discussion about deer and ended with an activity about surviving through the winter months. Below are a few pictures that were taken during the workshop.
