The Class Time Machine and Number Corner

This month's calendar pieces features measurement.  On each calendar piece, a measuring tool and object being measured are seen.  The tools and the objects illustrate the attributes of length, weight, capacity, and temperature.

During explore time this afternoon, the children created a time machine using the classroom chairs. It was quite the workout crawling through the tunnel of chairs (a great way to strength their core!).   There was some great problem solving during this play including figuring out how to get unstuck and when the chairs were bunched together toward the end of the tunnel.
