Did you hear?

Crayola announced last week that they would be retiring Dandelion, one of the yellow shade crayons. I was disappointed to hear this as that particular color is a nice shade of yellow and you can actually see it on paper.  I shared this video with the children announcing Dandelion's retirement.



So, it got me thinking, if it was up to the children, what color would they choose to retire?  I bought a brand new box of 64 crayons and each child chose a color that they thought Crayola should retire and wrote about it.  Ask your child what color they chose and their reasoning for choosing that particular color.

Here are a few examples of writing from the children.

I think they should retire blue because I don't like blue.

I think they should retire green yellow because it is hard to see.
