Theme Studies

As part of Earth Day, the children created an art project and wrote an Earth Day promise. Many of responses included picking up trash, recycling, and turning off the water when we are not using it. The children created an Earth by using green paint and their hands. These wonderful projects are displayed in our hallway.

On Wednesday, the children planted some flower seeds, in which they will be observing the growth of their plant over the next 5 weeks. There were 4 choices in seeds that the children got to pick from. After they planted their seeds, they made observations about their seeds, drew a picture of their seeds in their Flower Journal, and wrote an "I wonder" statement. Each week, the children will be completing a page in their Journal. They hope to share their journal with you at the end of the school year.
