Four Winds- Snowflakes
Today our 'Four Winds' helpers came into the classroom to hold a workshop for the children to explore all about Snowflakes. We learned all about the different shapes of snowflakes. They fit into one of the following categories: needle, column, capped column, plate, stellar, dendrites and irregular crystals. No two snowflakes are alike and are always changing forms as they make their way from the sky to the ground. After the very popular puppet show, the children had a chance to make a snowflake of their own. Once again, they discovered that no two of their handmade snowflakes were the same.
