Animals In The Winter

As part of our January Science theme, we have been learning all about what animals do in the winter. The four main categories are: Hibernate, Dormant, Migrate and Active. Each day we look at a new animal card and talk about where we should place it on our graph. The children are learning what it means to Hibernate vs. being Dormant.

We have a Hibernator song that I am sure your child can sing to you along with an quiet, active game that I introduced this morning in circle. Yes, a quiet, active game. I am a firm believer in moving and learning in kindergarten.
