D.E.A.R.= Drop Enerything And Read

Throughout the month of February, the children at ABS will participate in an activity called D.E.A.R. which stands for: Drop Everything And Read.  This is a wonderful opportunity to build a whole school climate in which reading is enjoyed and valued. Today at 9:00 Mr. Terko was heard on the loud speaker indicating that is was DEAR time at ABS which lasted 10 minutes.We just happened to have our book bags with us as we headed to our scheduled Music class at 9:05 so we just "plopped down" in the hallway to read! The kids just loved this and are looking forward to the next DEAR time.
