On Tuesday, we had another terrific Four Winds workshop, which focused on wind, clouds and how they play a part in our weather. The children learned about cumulus, stratus, and cirrus clouds through the puppet show. The children participated in three stations. The first station had the children observing how warm air rises and expands a balloon and how cold air sinks and shrinks a balloon. The second station had the children creating wind vanes and using them to observe the direction of the wind. The last station had the children observing, comparing and sorting different types of clouds. Lastly, we went outside and became weather watchers by observing the clouds (it was a perfect day to classify clouds) and the wind speed.
