Random Acts of Kindness

Last week the children were introduced to a new classroom project for the month of December: 15 Days of Random Acts of Kindness.  There are 15 bags hanging in our classroom.  In each bag, there is a daily task for the children and I to complete.  My goal is for the children to recognize how they can make a difference in someone else's life just by simply doing a small act of kindness.  The children have been very excited about this project, especially on the day when they saw Mr. Terko and told him he was awesome.  Some other tasks included helping someone tie their shoe or zip their jacket, make 'thank you' cards for Ms. Merchant and Ms. Angel and help a friend pick up their lunch in the cafeteria.  Make sure to ask your child daily about what the task was for that specific day.
