Exploring with Oobleck

 

On Tuesday, Ms. Rowe, the intern, did a science lesson with the children, which had them exploring oobleck (cornstarch and water mixed together). Prior to the exploration, the children made predictions of what it would smell, look, feel, and sound like (incorporating the 5 senses). During the exploration, the children had a blast playing with the oobleck and making a huge mess! After, the children went back to the chart that had their predictions on it and had a discussion about what the oobleck really smelled, looked, felt, and sounded like. They also discussed weather or not the oobleck was a solid or liquid.
