Last Friday we had another Four Winds workshop, which focused on squirrels and their habitats and what they eat. We were introduced to three different types of squirrels: the gray squirrel, the red squirrel, and the flying squirrel. We learned about the different features of each squirrel and used that information to play an activity where we had to guess what squirrel fit the clue. There were some hands on materials that were brought in that allowed the children to see squirrel pellets, skulls, and tracks. Have your child tell you something new they learned about squirrels.
