A Visit to the Fire Station

Today we walked over to the fire station. The children were very eager to get their tour and see the fire trucks. We actually got to see an ambulance and a fire truck leave the station! We also saw the fire truck return, which was very neat! We were able to see the kitchen, the sleeping quarters, and the Day Room (a fun room where the firefighters can play games and watch TV). The fire pole was the big highlight of the trip. We actually got to see a firefighter come down the pole. We also got to sit in 2 of the firetrucks and see what a firefighter has to wear when going on an emergency. We had a blast and the children had so much fun! Make sure to ask your child what their favorite part was.
