The First Two Days Back
We had a wonderful two days back to school. We eased back in on Thursday with spending the majority of the time outside. In the morning the children went to their last station of this rotation (looking at beaver activity, tracks in the snow, visiting Tree Island, Social Thinking, Winter Scavenger Hunt). In the afternoon, the children had a blast playing outside, sledding, exploring the ice, and being with their friends.
Today, 7th and 8th graders from Harbor house came to visit and hang out with us in the morning. This was part of their annual service trip. We had 14 students join our class today. They participated in the stations the children were rotating through (rock painting, games, snowflake making, Magnatiles, reading books). The 7th and 8th graders even went to art with them! The kindergartners loved having the older kids in the classroom and we hope they will visit again soon.
Pictures from the last two days.
