We've been enjoying spending our mornings outside. The children have been having fun interacting with the other classes. They've also been having fun sledding, making snowmen, climbing the snowbanks and exploring the school grounds.
With the ice that occurred last week, we had to get creative with our time outside! Instead of sleds, we used our bodies to slide down the hill! I think this has been the best thrill for the children. Mr. Deyo even incorporated some counting before heading down the hill. Click here to see video of the children sliding down the hill!
We also have been using the ice on the dirt road as our frozen ocean. We've been pretending to be polar bears looking for fish and snakes slithering on the ice.
