Forest Friday Workshop

This past week during Forest Friday workshop, we learned about how animals adapt during the winter months through a read aloud.  We particularly looked at how birds adapt in the winter months.  After, we showed the children a bird feeder that we are going to use during the winter months as a way to provide food for the birds.  In the coming weeks, we will have a bird feeder outside our classroom so that the children can observe the birds that come to the feeder this winter.

The last part of our workshop had us going up to the hill, where the children have been exploring the various trees.  The preschool classes have been creating a fort made out of branches and bark.  Some children chose to add to the structure.
