Hour of Code, Letters, and Sight Words

Today we participated in the Hour of Code.  The children learned about programming and how programmers code computers.  They had some practice coding using an app, called Daisy the Dinosaur.

During our morning meeting, we had fun sorting magnetic letters by where they begin when writing them on paper (plane line, sky line, or in-between the plane and grass).  We also had fun building the 4 sight words we have learned so far: is, me, the, at.

We also welcomed a new friend to our classroom today.  Ask your child to share our friend's name with you.
