Forest Birds

Today we had another great Four Winds workshop that focused on forest birds.  The children learned that not all birds search for food at the same layer in the forest.  The children participated in a scavenger hunt that had them finding different birds within a specific outside area.  Some birds were low to the ground, some were in bushes, and others were higher up in the trees.  The children also learned that birds communicate through their songs and they had fun practicing a few different bird songs while playing a bird style marco polo game.
