Williston Author Visits Kindergarten

On Wednesday, Amy Huntington of Williston, came to our kindergarten class to show how she became a famous author and illustrator of children's books. Mrs. Canfield's kindergarten class came to listen and watch as Amy showed work of hers when she was in kindergarten many years ago. The children were able to see how, with a lot of practice, writing and illustrating can become a life long passion and career. Amy has several books published with whimsical illustrations accompanied by delightful story lines. Needless to say, the children thoroughly enjoyed every minute of her 30 minute presentation. The students especially enjoyed listening to Amy read one of her stories called One Monday as the pictures were projected on the whiteboard. There is just something magical about viewing illustrations on "the big screen".
