When I'm 100 Years Old….
The children created portraits of themselves showing what they would look like at 100 years old (we only hope they'll live to be 100). They also wrote about what they'll be doing at 100 years old, which their stories were hilarious to read and it was so great to see their perspective. I also used the Aging Booth App to transform pictures of the children from looking youthful to looking elderly. All I can say is that they are looking wonderful at 100 years old!
If I had 100 Dollars…..
The children completed another writing activity that had them sharing what they would do with $100.
What can you make with the number 100?
| 100 can be a race car. |
Race to 100
The children played a math game titled Race to 100, which had them rolling 2 dice, adding the numbers together and coloring in that many squares on the hundreds chart. Once they reached 100, they counted how many rolls it took them to get to 100.
100th Day Crowns
The children did an excellent job coloring and decorating their crowns, which were worn on Friday, the actual 100th day of Kindergarten.
Building with 100 objects
The children had fun building with 100 Lego's, 100 Pattern Blocks, 100 Polydrons, and 100 Plastic Cups (a class favorite).
100th Day Snack Mix
The children counted out 10 of each food item and placed it on their snack mix chart.
Lastly, we counted to 100 by 1's, 10's and 5's and did some movement activities while counting (jumping jacks, running in place, bunny hops, etc.).
The 100th day capes were a huge success. It was so wonderful to see all the different designs.
