Postcard Exchange

We have been connecting with other kindergarten classrooms throughout the United States and Canada through the mail.  From September through December, we will be exchanging postcards with 4 other kindergarten classrooms (1 per month for each classroom) sharing what we are learning in our own classroom and asking questions about what they are learning and about their community.  The classrooms we are connecting with include one from Alberta, Canada, Sioux City, IA, Pepin, WI, and Elk Grove, CA.

The children and I have used Google Earth to look around each school we are connecting with, which has been very interesting as each community is different.  In Wisconsin, we noticed a lot of land around the school.  In Iowa, the school is in a large city that has many buildings.
