Four Winds - Our First Workshop!

Last Friday, we had our wonderful Four Winds volunteers come into the classroom to teach us about Insect Life Cycles, a familiar topic to the children.  During the puppet show, the children learned that insects go through different stages as they go grow from an egg to an adult.  After the puppet show, the children learned about two main life cycles of insects and were reintroduced to the word metamorphosis.  Then, they put some life cycle puzzles together to show the different stages some insects go through.  The last activity had the children outside exploring nature and looking for insects that they could capture in a container to look at more closely and share with the group.
