The children had a blast visiting the Police Station and the Library on Tuesday. They were excited about seeing a jail cell and looking up close at a police car. We learned what a dispatcher does and what happens when the police arrest some one (takes their picture and finger prints him or her). At the library, we learned about all the different jobs the adults do in the library. We also talked about the difference of a fiction and non-fiction book. The children are very excited about getting their very own library card. You will have to fill out a form, which will be in your child's Friday Folder, and simply send it back to me.
