Last week the children had created beautiful maple trees by tearing brown construction paper and gluing it to a blue piece of paper. Then, they got creative and added details to their picture. All of the children added a sun and some grass and a sap bucket to their tree. Last Friday, the children wrote a sugaring poem based on their 5 senses. They had to write what they could hear, smell, taste, see, and touch in a sugar bush. Many of the children used their experience from the field trip to help them complete their poem. The children worked really hard and their maple trees look amazing on our classroom wall!
