Bella, the Squash

In October, we read the book Sophie's Squash.  After reading, the children were wondering more about the squash and why it turned brown.  We thought it would be fun to get our own squash and watch what happens to it over time.  We've had the squash sitting on the windowsill since October.  Today, we observed the squash and were noticing the brown spots that were starting to appear on the squash.  However, the squash was still hard and heavy.  We can't believe that it isn't soft and mushy yet. 

The children have posted about the squash on their Seesaw account.
