Your child has been learning how:
- to use exact character words
- to use special connecting words to put storybooks pages together
- readers can point to and read some words they know
- to take turns (see-saw reading) with their partners

In addition, all the letters in the alphabet have been introduced all except the vowels and the letters q and x.
I've started introducing some sight words to the children. These are words they will see repeatedly in their reading and use in their writing. More information about the sight words will be shared with you in December.
