Leaves, Ice Cream, and Soup

Four Winds

Last Monday, we had another Four Winds workshop that focused on leaves.  We learned about how leaves come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.  We learned about chlorophyll and had a blast participating in some fun activities including going on a leaf hunt, sorting leaves, and leaf rubbings.

Learning About the Farm

On Wednesday, Ms. Virginia visited us for one last time to make ice cream with us!  The children were so excited to make ice cream.  We used heavy cream, sugar, vanilla and a mixing ball (a lot of rolling) to make the ice cream.  We also reviewed everything that we have learned from the last 3 weeks.

Harvest Soup

The Starlings first Harvest Celebration was a huge success!  Thank you to many of you who sent in items for our celebration and to those who were able to help prep, serve, and clean up.
