Arbor Day

On Friday, we celebrated, as a school, Arbor Day.  Another tree was planted near the playground, which was dedicated to Mr. Terko for his 18 years of service to our school.  We first celebrated in the gym by hearing about the solar panel and thanking our gardner, Mr. Andrew for planting the tree.  Mrs. Dyer's class along with friends from Mr. Deyo's class and our class, joined in singing a song titled Bloom by Kira Willey.  We've had been practicing this song for 2 weeks and the children knew it pretty well, but they got a little shy when performing in front of the entire school (can't blame them).  Here is a video of the performance.

We also had a one of our friends from the class come up to the microphone and give a "Hip Hip Hooray" shout out to Mr. Andrew.  You can find that video here.

At the very end of our celebration, the entire school went outside and circled around the tree that was just planted and sang Count on Me.  Here is a short video showcasing this part of the celebration.
