Welcome!

Welcome New Families,

I'm so happy that you have found our classroom blog.  This is where I will be posting about what is happening in the classroom.  On the sidebar, to the right, you will find a header Follow by Email.  You can type in your email address to get the blog posts delivered straight to your email!

When I'm not teaching 5 and 6 year old's, I'm spending time with my husband, Darrell and my two boys.  You can find us often outside playing baseball, walking, exploring nature, reading and playing board games.  One of our favorite spots to vacation is in Wells, Maine.  I have just found a new love for photography as I'm learning how to master taking pictures in manual mode with my camera.  Not an easy task, but well worth it! We also have two energetic dogs named Duke and Dexter who keep us entertained!

Here is a sneak peek into the classroom before our open house on Monday.

Sometimes children have a hard time with transitioning to a new environment, including a new school.  Sometimes it's hard for the parents to leave their child in an unfamiliar place.  The book, The Kissing Hand, is a heartfelt story that will provide both comfort to children and parents alike.  This story shows how the love and the reassurance that it will be ok can all be felt in the palm of our hands.

I can't wait to meet you on Monday!
