Feelings
The past two weeks Ms. S, our guidance counselor, has come into the classroom to discuss the topic of feelings with us. She has read a book about different feelings that people may feel at different times. The children have shared examples of when they have felt happy, mad, sad, and proud. The children have also learned about clear mind, sparkle mind, and mud mind. They were introduced to a special friend of Ms. S whose name was Pumsy (a special dragon).
Today, Ms. S revisited mud mind with the class. The children brainstormed ideas of how they could get out of mud mind. Their answers ranged from reading a book, taking a deep breath, playing with playdough, to coloring. Then, each child drew what they could do to get out of mud mind.
