Apple Picking at the Orchard

On Friday, we traveled to the apple orchard to learn about apples.  We learned about grafting, the importance of bees, how a cider press works, the star inside of an apple, and that an apple blossom has 5 petals. We picked Macintosh apples, tasted some yummy apple cider and had fun looking at the bees.   Have your child share his/her favorite part of the trip.
