Yesterday, Youssef's mom came in to talk to us about their celebrations and holidays in their culture. We learned about Ramadan, a month-long religious observance, and Id-ul-Fitr,a celebration at the end of Ramadan. During Ramadan, adults fast from sunset to sundown, which allows them to feel and see how the poor feel. We also watched a short video on Ramadan today. Ask your child to share with you something they learned about Ramadan.
