Winter Books and Activities

We've been reading a lot of different winter books.  Two of the books were extended into art and writing projects that were a lot of fun!  The two that we read and really enjoyed included Over and Under the Snow and Snowmen at Night

Over and Under the Snow shares which animals you would find over the snow and which animals you would find under the snow.  As an extension to the book, the children drew two animals that would be over the snow and two animals that would be under the snow.  Then, they created a background for their animals and then wrote about their animals.
Snowmen at Night is an all time favorite in the classroom!  Have you ever wondered what snowmen do at night?  Well, this book shares all sorts of possibilities.  As an extension to this book, the children created their own snowman and night background.  Then, they wrote about what they would do if they were a snowman at night.

Check out your child's Seesaw account to see their beautiful art work and writing!
