Reading Buddies with Ms. Crowley's 1st & 2nd graders

The kindergartners have had such an amazing experience with their Reading Buddies form Ms. Crowley's 1st and 2nd grade class. My kids were VERY nervous before the first meeting last week but as soon as Ms.Crowley's class had to return to their room, my kids couldn't contain themselves with glee! We had our second meeting this Thursday and the children almost read for 25 minutes and did NOT want to stop. It is amazing what a new reading activity, with a new set of older learners, can do to spark the interest of kids. We will continue this experience through June and watch the new friendships bloom!
